Biography Emad El-Saghir, born in Cairo in 1970, received his B.Sc.E.E. from Ain Shams University in Cairo in 1992. In 1994, he joined Matbouli Sound & Communications in Saudi Arabia as a project engineer and was appointed in 1997 the manager of project engineering department in the same organization, where he was engaged in a lot of room acoustics and sound reinforcement projects until 2000. He then joined Institute of Technical Acoustics in Dresden, Germany, where he received his M.Sc.E.E. in 2003 with a Master’s thesis in lab measurements of acoustical properties of porous materials. Since 2003, he pursues his Ph.D. degree in acoustics at the Institute of Technical Acoustics in Berlin, Germany. Since 2003, he is additionally the managing director of Acoustic Design Ahnert Limited in Cairo, the regional office of ADA Acoustic Design Ahnert in the Middle East and Africa. Emad El-Saghir has been using the EASE program in all its versions since more than ten years, and has contributed to its manuals and tutorials. He taught a lot of EASE Classes in different countries in the Middle East as well as Europe and Australia. He speaks English, German in addition to his native Arabic. Membership
