In the world of sound systems and acoustics, as well as in many other industries, it is not enough to design a good system, write perfect specifications and even award the contract to a reputable contracting firm to perform installation. An essential final step is to measure the performance of the installed system and document the results to make sure that the specifications were fulfilled.  In some cases, like building acoustics, measurement plays the major role.

For a sound system installation in a given venue, an extensive list of measurements can be carried out, both acoustical and electrical;

  • Sound pressure level distribution

  • Signal-to-noise ratio

  • Direct-to-reverberant ratio

  • Speech intelligibility figures ALCons% and STI

  • Clarity figure C80

  • Signal distortion

  • Line levels and impedances

  • Amplitude and phase response

ADA Limited possesses a set of advanced PC-based field measurement platforms, among others; EASERA, MLSSA, TEF20, SYSID and SMAART.
