The acoustical lab of
Acoustic Design Ahnert Limited is intended to help satisfy one of the needs of
the acoustical industry in the region of the Middle East and Africa, where
the number of professional institutions providing measurement of acoustical
properties of materials is very few. Our lab is under construction and
shall be capable of conducting the
following tests.

Normal-incidence absorption coefficient according to DIN EN ISO 10534-2;

Diffuse-field absorption coefficient according to DIN EN 20354;

Complex characteristic acoustic impedance and complex wave number, which make it possible to determine oblique-incidence absorption coefficient and oblique-incidence transmission loss;

Diffuse-field transmission loss ;

Acoustical power of machines according to DIN EN 23741.
The lab is mainly composed of a reverberation room and an impedance tube, in addition to loudspeakers, microphones, amplifiers and analysers, and planned to be fully functional shortly.
